Happy Birthday America

We all hope that you and yours have a grand Fourth of July.

We can all celebrate the founding of this great nation.....

and that we are blessed to live here.

Memorial Day Celebration

CVMF was proud to honor the spirit of service and sacrifice with our annual Memorial Day ceremony at City Hall on May 26. It was a heartfelt morning filled with reflection, gratitude, and just the right touch of hometown warmth.

Master of Ceremonies Dan Furtado kept things running smoothly, while Keynote Speaker Colonel John Nestor, U.S. Army, delivered powerful remarks that stirred both pride and reflection. We were honored to welcome tributes from State Senator Dave Cortese, U.S. Representative Sam Liccardo, and Campbell City Council Member Elliot Scozzola. Their words reminded us that freedom is never free and that our gratitude should be timeless.

The Del Mar High School Orchestra, led by the ever-energetic Maestro William Burkhead, added soul to the ceremony. Their moving performances filled the plaza with patriotic classics, lifting spirits and honoring those we lost with every note.

More than just a ceremony, the day was a gathering of neighbors, veterans, and leaders to remember, reflect, and reaffirm our shared commitment to honoring those who have given everything for this great nation.

Big Apple Bound

A visitor to New York City once asked a cab driver, "How do I get to Carnegie Hall?". The driver said, "Practic. Practice. Practice".

Well, that's exactly what the Del Mar High School Orchestra has been doing for the past 15 years. Led by Maestro William Burkhead, the orchestra was invited to play at the world-renowned Carnegie Concert Hall in the Big Apple next April.

How cool is that!

To help the orchestra make its way to New York, CVMF donated $250 as a small token of our appreciation for their longstanding support of our events. In addition, CVMF supplied a boatload of tasty pizza for the kids on May 30 to put an exclamation point on the whole project. After all, they can't practice, practice, practice playing Beethoven on empty stomachs.

Accolades to the orchestra, Bill, and Del Mar High School!

Computers for Veteran Students

Thanks to the enduring generosity of Robert Half, CVMF donated two laptops to student veterans at West Valley and two at Mission College. These devices will enhance the educational experience and provide improved access to online courses and testing.  This is another way that CVMF fulfills its core mission to support veteran students and their families.

Melissa Ceresa from West Valley gave a computer to Anthony Guan while Alyssa Larios from Mission College presented one to Charles F. and Jimmy P.

Congratulations and study hard, gents!

A Real Touch of Class - Elegant Bronze Statues

CVMF is proud to offer these beautiful and elegant statues.

The “Act of Value” and “Soldier’s Cross” statues are most inspiring to all and represent the very best in artistic patriotism. Dignified and tasteful, anyone will be proud to display these beautiful pieces at home or in the office.

Purchase a statue on our website, and CVMF will coordinate a direct shipment to you (allow 3 weeks for FREE delivery). While the price of each statue is $5,000, your Charitable Donation to CVMF is $2,500. The balance pays for the statue.

Our New Sign

The CVMF Board is delighted to announce that we have a brand-new, sparkling Memorial sign.  This modern, upscale version perfectly complements Campbell’s elegant new library and impressive new Police Department facility.

Designed by Bill Gould (Artik Architecture) and Mike Repanich (Good Citizen Design) and produced by ProSigns, this new placard pays homage to all of America’s military service branches and proudly represents CVMF, veterans, and the City of Campbell.

Please join us for our official unveiling at City Hall on July 19 at 10:00 AM. Hope to see you there.

Of course, your support and donations are always appreciated.
